I only needed 2 pulls for my PRE-MS baseline and to be learn what these so called "Tuners" are actually doing. This 3rd shop is local and deals almost exclusively with Suburu's, but for 3 pulls, how can you beat that. I was pissed to learn this, but it also justified my trying another Fuel Injection Solution. I learned of this HP loss when I went to a 3rd shop to get a baseline dyno runs before installing the MS !! I was completely unimpressed with street behavior, it was costly, and when I needed to pass Emissions one of the guys retarded the timing so my exhaust temps would increase, but this also resulted in a loss of 48HP. I've used 2 different shops for the SCT Chip tuning. I will also be setting up a Coil-near-plug setup, similar to LS1's, but using a wasted-spark setup that won't diminish when my RPMs exceed 5K. Go ahead and add the launch controls, fan controller, shift lights.yada yada yada. It may be a little more tedious to setup, but it costs a little less than the PNP option, BUT the functionality it provides seems endless.Īs an aside, the 13 year old within me wanted to have electronic Header dumps open at a specific TPS position, similar to the way butterfly valves will open with change in vacuum. ![]() If I had to do it all over again, I would go with the MS3 configuration. I'm fortunate to have the coin to "try" these other solutions and BY FAR. I've used Moates QH/Binary Editor, I've used an EEC-IV/SCT chip and had it dyno-tuned, and now I'm using MegaSquirt PNP for Mustang 5.0 and I'm not going back. I'm new here, so pardon me for being forward.Īs for EFI tuning. Quite surprised these Mustang Mod-101 items were not already addressed, unless they were assumed. The stock EEC expects a figure in here, it just needs to be 0.9 >< 1.0v range. Was this MAF calibrated for 24# injectors ? If not, then you could easily have behavioral and performance issues.Īlso ensure check that your TPS is less than 1 volt, but greater than 0.9. Your signature indicates 24# injectors and a 80mm MAF. ![]()
